No, we are an institution with three pillars: a school, a pastoral department, and a Heritage Center.

We are an institution administered by the Jesuits and the Lakota people.

No, we boarded students from 1888 – 1960. In 1960 Maȟpíya Lúta decided to phase out boarding students on campus. In 1980 we completely stopped boarding our students on campus. We now bus our students to school.

Chief Maȟpíya Lúta (Red Cloud) invited the Jesuits to start this school for his people.

We can serve up to 600 students a year.

Tuition for our students can average around $15,000/year. Families do not pay this, Maȟpíya Lúta covers the tuition costs. Families pay an admission fee of $100/student or $200/family per year.

We are a Lakota Catholic Organization. Honoring both the Lakota way of life and the Catholic way of life.

We serve up to 800 community members a week through Sunday Mass, our Rummage Rooms, Food Pantries, etc.
